A Successful Project
For a project to be successful many design ideas and techniques must be shown throughout the construction of the major project. This includes aspects and a wide range of skills of the job. This can be things such as joinery, decoration, shape, functionality, development ideas, production, materials and finally the degree of difficulty.
Essentially the assignment is broken down into two different sections, the design folio and the project itself. Research is an essential key to being successful and the folio explores whats behind the project itself and how you came to certain conclusions or decided upon different features that took part in the design process.
The folio and reflections are the basis of every project made in the workshop, thus it is essential the a solid folio is made and uses in correlation to show the design and process of how ideas and how the project is put together. Research is key to all aspects of the folio.

Task - Timber Theory Design
This task is to prepare you for the basis of what is to be expected within months coming. By completing this task it will help development of your understanding of timber design and why aspects have been included to the final product. This will further reinforce the use of the functionality and practicality of timber features.
